Beach Bump with Alvaro, Stephanie + Emilia

It was a sunny afternoon when my cousin Nik introduced me to Stephanie at The Beach Grove Cafe here in Sunny Tsawwassen.  It was 2010 when our bellies met, Stephanie pregnant with her first, Emilia, and I pregnant with my second.  We drove into Vancouver on Saturdays to attend Prenatal Yoga and 4 years later here we are with our daughters in the same dance class and once again... both pregnant!  She is due in two weeks and I am 9 months behind her.  We seized the beautiful sunny weather and headed to Centennial Beach for an evening Family Session.

These last days as a trio are coming to a close and, soon, will be nothing more than a distant memory.  As my family will soon grow from 4 to 5, it was a beautifully surreal experience to capture some memories of their last days as a family of 3.  As difficult as it is to imagine what the mysterious little newcomer will bring to the family, it quickly becomes just as difficult to imagine your family living without this tiny new life.

Bright Eyed Callum

We first met Callum and his mama Joon last December during our first year of Holiday Sessions through a mutual friend.  After a bit of a rough year, we got together for a surprise session for Dad at Centennial Beach!  With Fall in full effect, we got some great shots of this joyful little man playing in the bright coloured leaves!

After a fun romp through the crunchy leaves, we ventured toward the beach to capture a few more sweet moments of this perfect and oh-so-fashionable pair playing in the sand.

Thanks for another great sessions J+C!
Look forward to getting the whole family for your Holiday Session!

XOXO

Chilling at Centennial with the Guterson-Niblett Crew

Between the numerous visits to Centennial with the kids and for these Family Beach Sessions, this stretch of sand, water, and sky has become a second home.  Though Fall has begun to show her colours and remind us of her chilling touch and moody downpours, we have seen the sun break through many of these dreary days just around dinner time.  Typical Vancouver weather...  So we waited and watched, watched and waited.  Heather and I spent 2 weeks checking the weather and texting one another trying to land the perfect sunny evening for their Family Beach Session.   WE GOT IT!

Not sure which lit up this session more, the sun-drenched skies or these crazy daredevils, Carter & Miles!

I never get tired of coming here.

It was a pleasure to finally meet you in person, Heather.
Thank you guys for a lovely evening!  Looking forward to some playdates this month!

A Good Oldham Time

The latest though hopefully not the last of our sunny Beach Sessions before we break out the cozy sweaters and wooly scarves for Fall.  Tracey is probably one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet, and as you can see, also probably one of the prettiest.  I literally feel like I am in the presence of a princess when I'm around her, even when it's at Strong Start and she's got both her little men in her arms!  After a few reschedules, we finally managed to get together for this yummy Family Session!

A few favourites from my beautiful evening at Centennial Beach with the Oldhams.
